First Time Getting A Quick Weave
During the months of May and June, I just wore my natural hair out. Just basic styles like buns, twist outs, etc. However July was my birthday month, and I wanted to go all out for my birthday. A quick weave it was and I had a professional makeup session as well. With that said, it just felt right to continue to go out of my norm and wear a short dress. People that know me well, know that I am not really the type of Diva to wear dresses and heels. Hey, you only live once so why not live this life to the fullest.
Now about the quick weave, I can say I loved the hairstyle. Everything about the hairstyle, makeup, dress & heels made me feel like a completely different person (in a good way). I think this hairstyle had to be one of my favorites. It was easy to style and easy to maintain and that's what I liked when wearing a protective style.
With me being natural, the lady at the salon had to braid my hair down instead of wrapping it around my head like the normal. The process did take longer because she was busy fixing other Ladies hair, but the results was wonderful.
I kept this hairstyle in for about a month. However, when I got this hairstyle done I was told that the glue was not going to get in my hair. Well the glue did get into my hair and it was hard to get out. I was panicking because I didn't know what to do and I was scared that I may become bald. Researching on YouTube and asking friends, they helped me with the proper way of getting the hair and glue out. With the process of removing the glue, a little bit of my natural hair did come out.
I guess everyone is like there's never good news with this type of protective style, but I will be honest with everything I do to my hair. I have no shame in not knowing, but we live & we learn. With that said, I'm curious about getting a quick weave again. My goal is to research how to do so without glue getting into my hair.
