Discovered A New Product

With me dying my hair again, I needed to find a product that will keep my bodacious curls healthy, hydrated, and moisturized. With the product I found, I can say that it does all three and more. That's a bonus for us Curl Girls.

I fell in love with this brand the first time I used it. My hair absolutely felt soft and you could feel the difference from any other brand I've used. I did a twist out with this product and the it lasted an entire week. My hair didn't dry up, it felt the same as day one.

The Shampoo

The name of the shampoo is Sage Infused Black Soap Shampoo. This shampoo is gentle and sulfate free as well as it washes away dirt without stripping your hair. The smell is a bit strong but it didn't bother me as much. The directions are "Twist hair in large sections. Wet hair. Apply cleanser to scalp and very gently massage ( DO NOT USE NAILS). Allow cleanser to run down the length of your hair as you rinse throughly with warm water. Repeat if necessary. Follow by using For.ti.fy'd Naturals Reconstructing Deep Conditioner.

The Deep Condtioner(s)

This brand has two different deep conditioners. One being the Reconstructing Deep Conditioner. This product has baobab protein in it, which helps repair damaged hair, increases elasticity & strength, and reduces moisture loss as well as imparts shine (to name a few benefits). Directions for this product is to "Apply generous amount to hair in sections. Cover with a plastic cap for 15-20 minutes. Formula will dissolve into hair as it penetrates each strand. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. For best results follow by using For.ti.fy.'d Naturals Hydrating Leave- In Conditioner.

The second deep conditioner is called Growth Enhancing Moisture Therapy. This conditioner is formulated to stimulate blood flow, superior moisture to even the most brittle hair, helps stop hair loss and sloth itchy/irritated scalp. This product can be used as a leave in but I used it as a deep conditioner. The directions are "Apply an adequate amount to wet, sectioned hair. Cover with a plastic cap and allow conditioner to remain in hair for 15-20 minutes. Comb or finger comb hair and then rinse thoroughly with warm water. follow by using For.ti.fy.'d Naturals Hydrating Leave- In Conditioner.

Now with these deep conditioners, I didn't use them in the same week. I would alternate them. Also with both, I always rinsed with cool water instead of warm water. I'm not sure if it makes a big difference but I'm sure it doesn't.

The Leave- In

Hydrating Leave-In Conditioner is a lightweight conditioner that leaves your hair hydrated and manageable to detangle. The smell is wonderful. There's absolutely no buildup with any of these products. Your hair absorbs it as soon as you rub it on your hair. Directions are "Apply desired amount to freshly washed and conditioned hair. Comb through to evenly distribute. DO NOT RINSE. For best results follow by using For.ti.fy.'d Naturals intense Hydrating Potion.

After using the leave-In, I usually go behind and add castor oil to my ends. There's no real reason why I do it but with my hair being dyed, I like to make sure my ends are well moisturized and protected. This process is similar to the L.O.C. method and it works for me.

The Styler

Intense hydrating Potion, is their number one seller. This product is their version of the LOC method and the finish styling lotion all in ONE bottle. Even though I used castor oil on my ends before applying this, it doesn't make my hair oily. With this product, there are no flakes or build up. It absorbs into the hair and dries up fast. Waiting time to take down your hair is cut in half. Directions are "Apply a quarter sized amount to wet or dry hair in sections. Use more or less depending on hair texture. Style as desired.

I am happy with the decision to try this brand, it was a winner. I have no complaints about any of the products above. Everything they advertise about their product has shown results for my hair.
